# Stablecoin Payment Operations — planning brief

Status: planned product; software not released. Version 1.0, 2026-09-29.

Accepting a payment is only one step. A business still needs to connect provider events to orders, handle repeated notifications and investigate unmatched records.

## First workflow

An eligible customer checks out through a supported payment provider. Verified events update an order ledger, exceptions enter a review queue and an operator exports reconciliation records.

## Proposed first release

- [ ] Provider eligibility and country/currency/network discovery before implementation
- [ ] One provider’s test environment and one order workflow
- [ ] Verified webhook processing, idempotency and order-state reconciliation
- [ ] Exception review, transaction references and an exportable event history

## Extension points

- [ ] Isolate the payment-provider adapter from the order ledger
- [ ] Keep refund rules and reconciliation mappings explicit
- [ ] Add providers only after confirming supported flows and account eligibility

## Acceptance checks

- [ ] Duplicate events do not mark an order paid twice
- [ ] Unverified or mismatched events do not fulfill an order
- [ ] An interrupted checkout remains pending until authoritative confirmation
- [ ] Operators can trace an order to its provider reference and event history

## Boundaries

No custody of funds or private keys is proposed. Availability depends on provider approval, supported markets and the business model; this is not a claim of worldwide payment availability.
